Cayman Islands

Although the Cayman Islands have a conservative reputation, its people have plenty of opportunities to let their hair down throughout the year. During Pirate Week in November, George Town commemorates one of history’s most exciting eras. The Annual Batabano Carnival in George Town and the Little Cayman Mardi Gras are two more popular Cayman Island festivities. One thing is sure: Cayman Islands vacations are not to be missed!

The Cayman Islands are home to little more than 54,000 individuals from 113 countries, although Jamaica, the United States, and the United Kingdom continue to have the most cultural impact. In these profoundly devout regions, where stores and cruise ports are closed on Sundays, churches of all Christian faiths appear as abundant as scuba diving spots.

Traditional Cayman Islands dishes, including fried plantains, turtle stew, and seafood combinations, are served in many of the island’s 150 eateries. Simple jerk stalls, whose fiery and spicy chicken dishes match those in neighboring Jamaica, do some of the best Cayman Islands cuisine. Dinner cruises on an actual tall ship or a variety of luxury catamarans are available for anyone seeking more splurge. Cayman mudslide cocktails, Caybrew beers, and rum punches are the most popular local beverages offered at beach bars in the Cayman Islands.
