Egypt

The famous land known to be the home to past emperors and Pharaohs, Egypt remains a hot tourist destination filled with tombs and temples. Visitors can find relaxation, history, and adventure when visiting the country. The Pyramids of Giza are a top must-see item. These tombs hold the bodies of past Pharaohs. Abu Simbel is colossal statuary with guards sitting on the outside. The inside walls are filled with paintings. UNESCO completed the engineering of Abu Simbel. The work by UNESCO essentially saved the original architecture from falling into the water of the Aswan dam. Swim in the Red Sea and see the coral reefs of the display. History can be viewed from down below since the sea was a massive wreck-diving area. A British ship from WWII remains at the bottom.

When in Egypt, ensure to taste Kushari. The dish is made up of rice, lentils, and macaroni while topped with garlic vinegar, chickpeas, fried onions, and tomato sauce. Ever heard of an Egyptian pizza? Fiteer can be made in a variety of ways and are cooked in a brick oven. Get a deeper picture of Egyptian culture when attending the Alexandria International Film Festival held annually in November. Works from artists around the country are displayed, expanding deeper into the culture.
