Beauty from nature, rustic culture, and history with victory and scars are the main draw to Liberia. While interior infrastructure is still undeveloped, it’s an opportunity for an authentic Liberia experience. There are nature reserves like Mount Nimba that hikers would love. Historic places like the Church of la Ermita la Agonia, Liberia National Museum, and Careysburg for historical scouting. And there’s Providence for a cultural tour.
Liberia is also popular for exceptional traditional cuisines. Therefore, you must try Dumboy. It’s a prized national dish loved by the Bassa, Gio, and Mano people of this country. The main ingredient is Cassava, but it requires a novice to get the texture right. You can have it with Palm butter soup or attempt other options like Jollof rice, Pepper Kala, and Peanut soup.
And every July 25th, Liberia puts a festive show to honor Guanacaste Annexation. There are traditional and cultural parades, dances, foods, and cattle shows.
