Luxembourg

Luxembourg, a landlocked nation surrounded by European behemoths, is proud of its unique identity and long history dating back to the Roman era. Although the country’s history has been dominated by the emperors and kingdoms of its larger neighbors, the tiny nation is now part of the world’s wealthiest nations because of its finance industry and tax haven status since its post-World War II independence.

Luxembourg’s culture is primarily impacted by the country’s strong Catholic values, with traditional religious festivals being a prominent feature of the holiday calendar in Luxembourg. There are music and film festivals throughout the year, and locals and visitors alike enjoy Discovery Zone and Summer in the City.

Luxembourg’s delicious cuisine combines substantial amounts found in Germany. A dash of Franco-Belgian flair offers up some beautiful meals like Judd mat Gaardebounen, smoked pork, potatoes, and beans in a creamy cream sauce, and a plethora of other pig-based dishes. Like its surrounding countries, Luxembourg produces some of the best wines in the area, particularly sparkling wines and a few excellent local beers like Grand Cru and Gambrinus. Although the metropolis has several beautiful, albeit expensive eateries, you may find mid-range home cuisine places on the peaceful streets.
