Uganda is known officially as the Republic of Uganda in East Africa, which shares a border to the east by Kenya, the West by the Democratic Republic of Congo, the north by South Sudan, and the south by Tanzania. The capital of Uganda is Kampala which is the largest city in the country.

The festivals celebrated by the Ugandans are the Nyege Nyege International Music Festival. Uganda has many beautiful places for tourists attractions like the Rwenzori mountain, which National Geographic names one of the best places to hike in the world, Mountain Elgon, which has the largest volcano caldera in the world.

Africa’s largest lake and the second largest river in the world is located in Uganda. It is also a home to different parks like Rwenzori Mountain National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Mgahinga National Park, with the highest population of gorilla’s in the world.

The famous foods in Uganda include Matooke, Uganda’s national dish, posho, potatoes, and chapati. Ugandans famous drink is Waragi which is sold in Uganda and its borders, Bell lager, Nile lager, Pombe, and Lubisi.
